Thermotron couldn't provide QUALITY Field service technician's..

HOLLAND, MI – A sailboat skipper who was seriously injured in a Macatawa Bay Yacht Club regatta has sued another captain for allegedly causing a devastating crash on Lake Michigan.
Daniel O'Keefe nearly drowned after he was struck in the chest by the bow of the other boat, and landed in the water, unconscious.
He suffered multiple broken ribs, heart failure and a heart contusion and will require oxygen treatment for life, the lawsuit said.
O'Keefe, an Ottawa County resident, contends his damages exceed $1 million, court records show.
He filed an admiralty complaint in Ottawa County Circuit Court against the other boat owner, Todd Abram of Minnesota. The case was recently transferred to U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.
Abram's attorney, Christopher Cooke of Traverse City, said the outcome of the crash is tragic but his client isn't necessarily to blame.
"I think it was an accident," Cooke told The Grand Rapids Press and MLive.
"I think they both tried to avoid a collision, and tragically, they could not, and there was an injury. Who is to blame for this, entirely or partially, will be seen," he said.
He has not yet filed a response to the lawsuit. In court documents, he said the plaintiff claims the case is worth over $1 million, and that he demanded a $950,000 payment from his client.
The crash happened Aug. 23, 2014, during the 2014 S2 7.9 Class Championship Regatta on Lake Michigan, off of Holland.
Race records showed that O'Keefe piloted a 1987, 26-foot boat called "Kaboom." Abram's 1991, 26-foot boat was called "VOOM!"
O'Keefe said in the lawsuit that he did not share any fault for the crash.
He said he had just reached the first mark of the course and was rounding an "offset" mark before the crash occurred.
He said he saw the VOOM! approaching to the left. It was closing quickly, 15 to 20 boat lengths out, when O'Keefe yelled, "Starboard," his attorney, Lawrence Nolan of Eaton Rapids, wrote in the lawsuit.
O'Keefe heard nothing from the other boat. He steered hard to the right but could not avoid the collision.
"... (T)he bow of the sailboat, 'VOOM,' physically struck the Plaintiff Daniel O'Keefe in the chest and knocked him out of the sailboat 'KABOOM' and into the water, leaving him lifeless and unconscious almost causing him to drown," Nolan wrote.
He contended O'Keefe had the right of way.
Abram operated his sailboat in a "careless and grossly negligent manner, with wanton disregard for safety at sea of others."
Cooke, the defendant's attorney, said competitors accept that there are inherent risks in sailboat races. Regatta rules and admiralty rules are intended to keep racers safe.
"But sometimes, in the heat of competition, certain things are unavoidable ... especially near the markers, where bumping and jockeying occurs," Cooke said.
He said it was a horrible day for all involved. Neither team finished the race.
"We're sorry it happened," Cooke said.
"Liability remains to be seen."

I was working at Litton Ind and just set up an test lab for them in Oregon i hired and trained the new staff and when Ron Wiley sent up 3 thermotron field service technicians, all 3 combined barley made up one complete person..
But they have to get their training somewhere.. one customer at time...
Then Ron Wiley dispatehed a unskilled and un qualified employee from washington state to perform the start up on an vibration shaker..
his only training at thermotron was they told him it was "roundand blue " and it fit under the chamber..
after a week of trying to get it to work.. he concluded that the logic moduel was bad..
40 hours for that..
But he did know where the "Hidden Buttons" were on the chamber temperature controller..
the 3 other field service engineers Ron Wiley dispatched didn't have a clue..
when i asked if he could do a operational performance over view for the 13 men i had hired in the test lab ,
Ron wiley and Dave waterfield said thermotron no longer does that for customers..
